PfizerConnect collects the personal information you choose to provide (“User Information”). PfizerConnect may ask for the following User Information when you sign up, including:
- Personal Information (PI) such as your name, email address, and phone number, so that we can contact you about potential research opportunities that may be right for you.
- Personal Information (PI) such as the year you were born, location, race, ethnicity, gender and medical conditions, so that we can identify potential research opportunities that may be right for you.
- Usage Data (purely structured, technical, and automated data).
We will not collect, store, analyze, disclose, or otherwise use this User Information except as needed to: process data you have sent us; respond to your questions or requests; provide you with technical support or updates; or enforce the terms of this Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and any other policies or legal requirements governing the use of PfizerConnect. In submitting this User Information to us, you consent to our use of it for these limited purposes.
We may use User Information to:
- Identify potential Pfizer clinical research opportunities that may be a good fit for you
- Send you communications about potential Pfizer clinical research opportunities
- Send administrative information to you, such as information regarding PfizerConnect and changes to our terms.
- Conduct data management and analysis.
We may disclose User Information to:
- Our affiliates, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- Our third-party service providers, to permit them to provide authorized services on our behalf, such as customer service, email delivery and engagement, and auditing. For example, TrialX is a provider retained by Pfizer to host PfizerConnect and stores the User Information provided when you sign up. In addition, TrialX will process any requests to unsubscribe or delete Personal Information.
- A third party, in the event of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
We may also use and disclose the information you provide, as we believe to be necessary or appropriate to:
- Comply with applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence.
- Comply with legal process.
- Respond to requests from public and government authorities, including authorities outside your country of residence.
- Enforce our Terms and Conditions.
- Protect our operations, or those of any of our affiliates.
- Protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you, or others.
- Allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.
We may aggregate the information that you and other users of PfizerConnect provide on a de-identified basis. If we do, we may use and disclose such aggregated information for any purpose. Aggregated information does not personally identify you or any other user.
The following provisions apply to the Personal Information of California residents collected by Pfizer, whether collected online or offline. These provisions supplement the other sections of the Privacy Policy and supersede the other sections as to California Residents to the extent that there is any inconsistency.
We do not “sell” Personal Information about California residents.

Individual Rights
Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to make the following requests, at no charge, up to twice every 12 months:
- Copy: You may request a copy of the specific pieces of Personal Information that we have collected about you in the prior 12 months and to have this delivered, free of charge, either (a) by mail or (b) electronically in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily useable format that allows you to transmit this information to another entity without hindrance.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your Personal Information we have collected about you.

Know: You may request that we provide you certain information about how we have handled your Personal Information in the prior 12 months, including the:
- categories of Personal Information collected;
- categories of sources of Personal Information;
- business and/or commercial purposes for collecting your Personal Information;

- categories of Personal Information that we have disclosed or shared with a third party for a business purpose.
- Opt-Out: You may unsubscribe from receiving communications from PfizerConnect at any time by sending a request to our service provider, TrialX, at MyData@trialx.com or clicking in the “Unsubscribe” link in any system-generated email.
You have the right to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Submitting Requests
You may submit requests to delete, copy and/or know Personal Information we have collected about you by emailing our service provider, TrialX, at MyData@trialx.com. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law.
Your User Information is stored and encrypted as described in this section.
The following data is always transferred to and stored on an external cloud server (encrypted data marked with *):
- Name (first name and last name)
- email address
- Year of birth
- Location
- Telephone number
If you choose to register with PfizerConnect, the User Information you provide as part of your registration for/opt-in will be used by Pfizer and any other third-party service providers providing services on Pfizer’s behalf, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may use cookies and other technologies to recognize you as you sign up for PfizerConnect so that we can understand how PfizerConnect is used and can personalize and enhance your experience. These technologies collect certain information automatically, such as:
- Information about your device, such as your screen resolution, operating system, device manufacturer and model, language and browser type. We use this information to ensure the system is functioning as intended.
- Information about your use of PfizerConnect, including features used and the dates and times of your interactions on an aggregate and de-identified basis. We use this information to understand how users engage PfizerConnect and to customize and improve the experience.
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers. When a user turns on DNT, the browser sends a message to websites requesting that they not track the user. At this time, Pfizer does not respond to these signals. For information about DNT, visit www.allaboutdnt.com.
This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the information collection, use, disclosure or security practices, or other practices, of any third party, including any third party operating a service to which PfizerConnect links. The inclusion of a link within PfizerConnect does not imply our endorsement of the linked service.
We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect the information you provide to us. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify us.
You may stop all further collection of information and communications by PfizerConnect by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any system-generated email or send a request to our service provider, TrialX, at MyData@trialx.com. You may submit requests to delete, copy and/or know Personal Information we have collected about you by emailing our service provider, TrialX, at MyData@trialx.com.
Participation in PfizerConnect in restricted to individuals eighteen (18) and older. PfizerConnect is not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from such individuals.
From time to time, we may update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will become effective when we contact you about the revised Privacy Policy. Your use of PfizerConnect following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy was last updated as of the “Last Updated” date shown above.
